Kasese Town

Kasese is one of the fascinating towns in Uganda that is strategically located close to the Equator; the town is about 359 kilometers from Kampala city. Kasese is bordered by districts like Kabalore in the north, Kamwenge in the east, Rubirizi in the south and DR.Congo in the west. Kasese people share the Rwenzururu kingdom coexisting together with the Rwenzururu sub region. Kasese Town is home to the enchanting Queen Elizabeth national park – the second largest wildlife safari park in Uganda, the park is famous host to the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector plus other animals like herds of buffaloes, elephants, leopards, waterbucks, warthogs, hippos, crocodiles among others plus many colorful bird species. The town has many commercial activities like salt mining in Katwe and it is occupied by majorly Batooro who speak Rutooro and Bakonjo who speak Rukonjo language.
