Kabale district

Kabale district is a sub-region of Kigezi; kabale town is in the western region of Uganda. Though this town is so small, it is well equipped with many facilities like, restaurants, referral hospitals, banks, lodges and many more. It is as well a route to Bwindi impenetrable national park and a highway to Uganda-Rwanda border. There are various sites that can be so fascinating in Kabale while on a self drive tour. The town is home to the second deepest lake in Africa – Lake Bunyonyi and it’s the key attraction in this town, various people love to come to Kabale to experience the 29 islands that are located on this lake. From Lake Bunyonyi, one can delight in a community visit where you get chance to meet the Batwa people, these are the shortest people in the world and had chosen to live an ancient life though some of them have started adopting civilized ways of living. They are welcoming people and also have a lot to show off to the visitors like their cultural dances, hunting skills, musical treats and lots of more entertainment.
