Queen Elizabeth National Park: This is the highlight of Kasese. It is famous for its climbing lions, the BigFIVE, and golden monkey species in the Kyambura gorge. Enjoy morning game drives, a boat ride on Kazinga channel, visit the Katwe salt mining site and interact with the locals living around the park.
Rwenzori Mountains: Also known as the Mountains of The Moon, Rwenzori Mountains is has the highest point in Uganda, Margherita. It is a popular hiking destination for hikers in the country and once you reach the highest point, you get to enjoy breath taking views and also encounter snow.
Ruins of Kilembe Mines: Kasese is also home to one of the largest and oldest copper mines in Africa. It is unfortunate that they were swept away by the Nyamwamba river some of the ruins still stand tall.
