Day1: Transfer to kibale forest national park

Delight in a morning breakfast, join your driver guide for a transfer to kibale forest national park. The journey takes you through Kampala city, Mityana, Mubende and Kyenjojo with a short paramount stopover at Nakayima tree a culture spiritual tree. Here, you meet story tellers who tell you a lot about the Baganda culture. Later on, proceed to kibale forest driving through large tea plantation. Enjoy an enroute lunch as well as an optional visit to Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru cultural site blessed also beautiful sceneries with interesting background stories.

Day2: Chimpanzee tracking experience and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Have an early morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu Tourism Centre for a simple briefing. You are grouped into small groups of 6 and given ranger guides. Trekking takes you about 2-5 hours and you spend one hour with a chimpanzee family after locating them. Expect to enjoy some hike as you are tracking through the forested landscapes, return to the lodge, freshen up, relax and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, move out for the nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. It is a marvelous spot to see other interesting primates like Vervet, L’Hoest monkeys and numerous colorful bird species. Head back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.

Day3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park via the Ishasha sector

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and start a transfer to Bwindi forest national park via the Ishasha sector where you will see the tree climbing lions, the driver takes you about 4-5 hours’ drive to access the park. Upon arrival, check in at the booked lodge for a relaxation and lunch.

Day4: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer to Bunyonyi Lake

Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be divided into groups of 8 people and entrusted with a range guide. Remember to take water in plenty because trekking is sometimes long and tiresome though it offers a unique breathtaking experience. After encountering the mountain gorillas, head back to the lodge for a nap, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day5: Morning Canoe ride and departure

After having a delicious breakfast, enjoy a morning canoe ride as you explore the beautiful sceneries at the lake and the islands. After the fabulous adventure, depart back to Kampala as you are enjoying your lunch enroute in Mbarara. Arriving in Kampala in the evening, you will be dropped at your hotel of residence in Kampala or at the airport thus concluding the end of your chimpanzee gorilla safari.
